On arrival we were greated pleasantly. Unfortunatly,,, we were not informed of breakfast times, time of departure, were not informed you had to have card swiped to use mini bar,,, was under the impression internet was free!! It wasnt, wording needs to be changed on Hotel details to make it clear. The room was filthy!! Everything in room was sticky with food, or whatever, and hairs on sheets on one bed!!! Noone answered phone when i tried to ring down to reception to complain!!! No info in room about breakfast times or time of departure! We were eventually moved to a different room, it was cleaner, but nothing like other hotels I have stayed in!! The room had a horrendous noise all night long, like pipes banging together!!! The fire alarm went off at 2am, we went to our designated fire assembly point, and stood until it went off, about 20 mins , NO memeber of staff came to check if everyone had assembled at the point!!! The Hotel was very shabby looking, carpets and all room doors were filthy!!!

The window rattled as it had a bit missing and there was a noisy wedding til after midnight but the bed was comfy, the bathroom clean and the breakfast delicious. Not enough staff on duty at checking out time.

We were allowed to check in before 2 pm and use the wonderful facilities. We had a free shuttle to and from the LG arena and the breakfast was faultless. Would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn, Birmingham Airport, wonderful facilities and so close to the LG Arena.
