New Street may not be the loveliest looking train station in the UK, but it allows visitors from other parts of the country to reach Birmingham pretty quickly -especially if they're travelling on one of Virgin's high-speed Pendolino trains. It's also well located in the city centre, close to the Bull Ring and the Town Hall.
